Yu-Ru Lin is currently a graduate student pursuing her doctorate in computer science at the Arizona State University. She is a research assistant under Professor Hari Sundaram at the Arts, Media and Engineering Program, an interdisciplinary collaborative venture between the Fulton School and the Herberger College of The Arts. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2001. Her current research focuses on analysis and visualization of evolutionary communities in social media, and an application for spam weblogs (splog) detection. Her research interests include social network analysis, information visualization and human-computer interaction.
