Technology Development Lab (TDL)

The Technology Development Lab is dedicated to both research and education with a focus on the development of hardware and software solutions for sensing and actuation in HCI, and experiential media applications.

TDL offers hardware development platforms for embedded control systems, DAQ based I/O analysis, FPGA design, and PCB design. Additional tools include LabVIEW, Matlab, Visual Studio and Max/MSP for user interface design, analysis and module design for mediated participatory environments. TDL is equipped with a wide range of electronic test equipment as well as small fabrication tools making it a one-stop shop for product completion. Development boards and Integrated Development Environments with tutorials are available on various platforms for teaching hardware design skills. The lab is located next to a studio for immediate field-testing of many of the use-inspired products.
